​Art's past is currently unknown, although it was hinted that he killed a young girl many years before the start of the series. He had also presumably kidnapped kids before, according to one of the demolition workers. Art becomes very offended when reffered to as a mime, for example by Ally (who subsequently had the worst and most torturous death in terrifer 2). This has led some to believe art is selectively mute, not via his own volition, possibly due to a traumatic event involving his mother, as he attacks women more often than men, and started sucking his thumb when the crazy cat lady babied him in Teriffier. Art is ultimately an evil villain, with no redeeming qualities, who operated as a regular serial killer before being resurrected by a demon at the end of Terrifier.
